Faculty Resources
Faculty members play an integral role in the decisions students make about future career opportunities. The Seaver Career Center is here to support faculty members in this process and have information and resources available to help students navigate their time at Seaver.
National Career Development Day is November 15
Be a Career Champion on Career Day!
We invite you to play a pivotal role as a Career Champion on Career Day on Wednesday, November 15. Your valuable participation can support students in their journey toward success.
November 13-14 | Plan Career Day activities in class to promote Career Day |
November 15 | Career Day |
Here's how you can get involved leading up to Career Day:
- Share Your Career Journey: Share your personal and professional career journey in class (the challenges and successes) and invite students to ask you anything about your path.
- Host an 'Ask an Alum' or Industry Expert in Class: Invite alumni or industry professionals to speak in your class, interact with students, and provide them with real-world perspectives. The Career Center or Seaver Alumni Relations team can assist with making introductions.
- Encourage Job Search Preparation: Ask students if they've started working on their resumes, begun searching for internships or jobs, or have any desired companies in mind. If they haven't, suggest they set up an appointment with their Career Advisor or drop by the Career Center during the drop-in hours for resume support and career guidance.
- Promote Career Day Attendance: Encourage your students to attend Career Day, scheduled for Wednesday, November 15. There will be fun giveaways, internship/job search support, and opportunities for students to get their career questions answered.
