COVID-19 Update

In line with recommendations from multiple governmental and health agencies, limiting the number of people at gatherings, the University is postponing all commencement ceremonies scheduled for the spring. Nonetheless, graduating students who complete their coursework will receive their degrees as scheduled and should be assured that commencement ceremonies will take place on the Malibu campus at a future date.

Pepperdine University is closely monitoring developments for Coronavirus Disease 2019. Learn more about the University's response plans to keep our campus communities safe by visiting: https://www.pepperdine.edu/coronavirus/

Honor Cords (undergraduates only)

If you graduate with honors, you will receive your honor cords when you check in at 9 AM Saturday morning. These honor cords are the only items that may be worn on your regalia. Cum laude honors recognize those who achieve a 3.500 grade point average in their entire undergraduate career. Magna cum laude honors recognize those who achieve a 3.700 grade point average. Summa cum laude honors recognize those who achieve a 3.900 grade point average. GPAs will not be rounded.

It is in the tradition of Seaver College that because masters graduates wear hoods, they do not receive honor cords.
