COVID-19 Update

Seaver College and Pepperdine leadership continue to prepare for a wide range of  scenarios for the Class of 2021 commencement ceremony on May 22, 2021. Our primary and desired scenario remains providing all graduates an in-person commencement ceremony with guests in Alumni Park this spring. At this point we don't have concrete plans to share as we are still working with the county to see what is possible, but all commencement updates will be posted to the Seaver Graduation website as soon as they are available. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Pepperdine University is closely monitoring developments for Coronavirus Disease 2019. Learn more about the University's response plans to keep our campus communities safe by visiting: https://www.pepperdine.edu/coronavirus/

Honor Cords (undergraduates only)

If you graduate with honors, you will receive your honor cords when you check in at 9 AM Saturday morning. These honor cords are the only items that may be worn on your regalia. Cum laude honors recognize those who achieve a 3.500 grade point average in their entire undergraduate career. Magna cum laude honors recognize those who achieve a 3.700 grade point average. Summa cum laude honors recognize those who achieve a 3.900 grade point average. GPAs will not be rounded.

It is in the tradition of Seaver College that because masters graduates wear hoods, they do not receive honor cords.
