Successful students connect with professors, peers, and academic support services that help them reach their goals.

• The Student Success Center (SSC) offers free peer tutoring, professional math tutoring, academic coaching, and learning skills workshops. For quick tips, students are encouraged to browse our learning skills videos.
• The Writing Center offers free individual tutoring appointments to assist students in developing their writing assignments at the college level.
• Professors offer weekly office hours, which are days and times when they are available to meet with students. These are included in the course syllabi/documents distributed at the start of the semester. Attendance at office hours is an important part of building an academic support network at Seaver College. Students can drop in to office hours to ask questions or discuss academic interests. 
• OneStop helps with administrative concerns like course registration, degree requirements, enrollment status, and more. For one-on-one assistance, students can request an appointment with an academic advisor.
• Students are encouraged to stay up-to-date with registration timelines and important dates by consulting the Seaver College academic calendar.
• In college, students typically have more variation in their day-to-day schedules than they did in high school. Therefore, it is important to use a calendar or planner to keep track of commitments. Students can manage their time digitally or on paper. The SSC suggests using an application like Google Calendar or stopping by the Student Success Center early in the semester to pick up a free planner.
