Julia Johnson, President

Physics major, Great Books minor

Julia is a Pepperdine senior, majoring in Physics with a minor in Great Books. Passionate about both her academic and extracurricular pursuits, Julia serves as Co-President of the Physics Club and is an active member of the Student Programming Board. Since she was little, Julia frequented the mountains throughout her home state, Washington; she’s loved to read for just as long. Julia finds joy in an array of activities and hobbies, including photography, music, event planning, and backpacking.

Lydia Smith

Integrated Marketing Communication major, Art minor

Lydia is a Senior majoring in Integrated Marketing Communication with an Art minor. Lydia studied abroad in Switzerland and has a love for international travel. On campus, Lydia teaches a Strength class, runs the Pepperdine Fitness social media, and is Co-Director of Media Outreach for Pepperdine Climbing Club. In her free time, she likes to lift weights, climb, paint, hike, create videos, and go camping.

Mallori Bland

Sociology major, Philosophy minor

Mallori is a senior from Dallas, Texas majoring in Sociology with a minor in Philosophy. She is the Vice President of Education for Kappa Alpha Theta and has been involved in New Student orientation as both an orientation leader and coordinator. Her Sophomore year, Mallori studied abroad in Argentina. She enjoys reading and going to the beach in her free time.  

Makena Swenski

Physics major, Great Books minor

Makena is a junior from Reno, Nevada, pursuing a BS in physics with a minor in great books. She is a member of Pepperdine’s student-led dance company, Dance In Flight, as well as a member of Delta Delta Delta. Makena recently spent a semester studying abroad in Hauteville, Switzerland, where she fell in love with travel. She also enjoys practicing yoga, listening to music, and spending time outdoors.
