Admission Interviews
Interviews are informational and serve as a tool for students to evaluate their fit with Pepperdine University. Although the interview is informational in nature, interviewers will also provide an evaluative report that will be included in the applicant's admission file and treated as an additional letter of recommendation. Your chances of admission will not be negatively affected if we are unable to offer you an interview.
The optional interview provides an opportunity for applicants to have a meaningful conversation with a Pepperdine admission representative. This conversation allows you to learn more about Pepperdine, and the Admission Office to learn more about you.
Admission interviews have ended for Fall 2021. Your chances of admission will not be negatively affected if you were unable to complete an interview.
Interview Questions
All students will be asked the following questions during the interview:
- Can you tell me something about yourself that we wouldn't find within your application (such as something you'd like to explain on your transcript, interruptions to your educational progression, something you're passionate about, information about your home life, or anything else)?
- The three core components of our mission statement are purpose, service, and leadership. Pick one and tell me a little about how you incorporate this value into your life.
- How will obtaining a college degree help you leave a positive impact on the world?
Transfer Students
If you are a transfer applicant who has graduated from high school, please register for one of the transfer applicant interview times available.
