Pepperdine Libraries is pleased to partner with the Office of the Dean of Seaver College's W. David Baird Distinguished Lecture Series for a pop-up discussion focusing on ecology as it relates to the recent devastating wildfires across Los Angeles. The event will feature presentations by two Seaver faculty members. Assistant Professor of Biology Helen Holmlund and Professor Emeritus Stephen D. Davis will discuss their research on drought and fire in the chaparral shrublands of southern California. Following their presentations, the two will engage in a conversation on the topic and take questions from the audience. Admission to the event is free and hors d'oeuvres will be served, but registration is strongly recommended to guarantee your spot.
