The Making of McBeard
In 2015, Forbes Magazine ranked Pepperdine #8 on its national list of Most Entrepreneurial
Universities, placing us between Princeton and Dartmouth. At Seaver College, students
are challenged to pursue vocations entrenched in purpose and service; within that
missional pursuit, leadership becomes a foundational component. This is the story
of McBeard, and how a Twitter parody account turned into a global social media powerhouse,
which now employs over 40 Pepperdine graduates.
