Nathaniel Ilo is a New York native and higher education professional dedicated to
expanding access, fostering belonging, and advancing student success. He earned a
Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and
an Associate Degree in Psychology for Transfer from Norco College. He is currently
pursuing a Master of Education at the University of Southern California with a focus
on educational counseling.
Before joining Pepperdine, Nathaniel served as an Admissions Counselor for Community
Engagement at UC Santa Barbara, where he led outreach initiatives, developed transfer
and pathway programs, and supported students from historically underrepresented communities
through the college access process. His work emphasizes building meaningful relationships,
cultivating inclusive environments, and creating programs that strengthen student
identity, leadership, and retention.
As Program Manager for Intercultural Affairs, Nathaniel advances initiatives that
promote cultural engagement, holistic student development, and a stronger sense of
belonging across campus.
