Office of Intercultural Affairs
In John 13:34: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” This sacred call shapes our commitment to fostering a community where every individual is embraced with dignity, compassion, and belonging.
In Intercultural Affairs, we believe that loving one another means honoring the fullness of each person’s identity—culture, heritage, faith, and lived experience. It means creating spaces where difference is not just acknowledged, but celebrated as a reflection of God's creativity and design.
Our Mission
The Intercultural Affairs (ICA) office exists to connect, engage, and inspire Pepperdine students through transformative educational programs, services, and experiences that foster academic excellence and holistic development. ICA is committed to building an inclusive community grounded in respect, equity, understanding, and belonging. Through meaningful engagement with peers, faculty, staff, and local communities, students develop Intercultural proficiency, leadership skills, and lasting relationships. Our mission is to prepare graduates for lives of purpose rooted in Christian discipleship, service, compassion, and justice—locally, nationally, and globally.
Our Vision
Intercultural Affairs (ICA) envisions a campus community enriched by global education, grounded in justice-oriented practice, and committed to equity. Rooted in a Christian theological framework, ICA seeks to foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where all students are seen, supported, and empowered. Through education, advocacy, and intentional engagement, ICA will serve as both a resource and a catalyst for transformative learning, cultivating a culture of belonging that reflects God’s love, justice, and grace.
