Sports Medicine Program Learning Outcomes
A student who graduates with a major in sports medicine should be able to:
- Demonstrate a breadth of knowledge across the spectrum of the exercise sciences and
a deeper understanding in the areas of physiology, motor behavior and biomechanics.
- Apply the scientific method in order to understand, evaluate, and/or solve problems
in the exercise sciences.
- Use the central components of a liberal education, including critical thinking, information
literacy, oral and written communication, and quantitative reasoning skills in analyzing
problems in the exercise sciences.
