Liberal Studies for Education Program Learning Outcomes

A student who graduates with a major in Liberal Studies for Education should be able to:

  • Demonstrate a broad knowledge base in the disciplines of natural science, fine arts, social science, mathematics, English, and human development.
  • Deliver a formal, academic presentation that develops appropriate and compelling content based on educational research.

  • Write an extended informational text that develops appropriate and compelling content based on educational research using formal, academic language and style.

  • Conduct critical, systematic educational research that analyzes and synthesizes information from a range of sources.

  • Discern and address the moral and spiritual foundations and implications of teaching and learning.
