"I have received encouragement in my own spiritual journey through friends and mentors that I have crossed paths with at different points of my Pepperdine career. My freshman year Great Books Professor, Dr. Michael Gose, has served as a mentor throughout my time at Pepperdine. Dr. Gose has helped me to intertwine my understanding of who God is into my daily life even more. Additionally, my first-year Resident Advisor was the first among many to show me what it looked like to live a Christian life amidst the setting of a fraternity. This is especially significant through the way in which he sought to be authentic in his relationships with other guys, no matter how different they were."
Joshua found his desired combination of academic rigor and spiritual growth in his Pepperdine experience.
