"Pepperdine has so many opportunities for students to engage in service. I participated in Step Forward Day with the Transfer Alliance in September. This day of service is across campus with different student organizations taking on different service projects across the Pepperdine community, Malibu community, and even greater Los Angeles community. On this day, my group helped set up American flags across Alumni Park to honor those fallen on 9/11. It was such a unique and special experience to see the flags for the rest of the month and know we were a part of making that happen."
As a transfer student, Brenda was able to find her home through Pepperdine's service opportunities.
