Financial Assistance Deadlines for Prospective Students

It is never too soon to start thinking about the financial assistance opportunities available to you or to begin gathering the information you will need to apply for financial assistance. Our advice to you: Apply early! Scholarship and financial assistance funds are awarded to eligible students based on availability of funds, number of applicants, applicant attributes (including the student's academic profile), and timeliness of the application. Funds are limited, so we encourage you to meet all published application dates.

Financial Assistance Application

Jan 1	This is the earliest you may submit your FAFSA to the Federal Processor. Apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Feb 15	Priority Deadline for completing the FAFSA. You may use estimated tax figures to meet this deadline.
Mar 1	Inform the Financial Assistance Office of any outside/private scholarships you will receive, either by fax at 310-506-4746 or email to finaid2@pepperdine.edu.
Mar 2	Deadline to apply for Cal Grant (see Federal/State sources of assistance) by submitting the FAFSA and GPA Verification Forms (California residents only).
Apr 15	DO NOT submit federal tax returns! Two weeks after submitting tax infomation electronically, or eight weeks after submitting taxes by mail, use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool via the www.fafsa.ed.gov page. If you are unable to retrieve your IRS data, you will be required to request an IRS Tax Transcript.
May 1	Enrollment deposit deadline - - Office of Admission.
July 1	Priority deadline to submit your loan application in order to have your funds available by the start of the Fall semester. All items must be complete in your "To Do List" in order for funds to disburse.
Oct 15	Priority deadline to complete your Financial Assistance file if you are applying to begin in the Spring (January) semester.
Dec 1	Last day to submit a completed loan application to be processed for the Fall semester.
Dec 15	Priority deadline to submit your loan application for Spring Admits in order to have your funds available by the start of the Spring semester. All items must be complete in your "To Do List" in order for funds to disburse.
