Important Deadlines
Apply early! Complete the 2013-2014 FAFSA. Due to reductions in Federal funding, the priority deadline is March 1 to continue to be considered for certain types of need-based aid. Need-based aid includes, but is not limited to, Federal Work Study, Seaver Trust Grant, Perkins Loan, etc.
Financial Assistance Application
| Jan 1 | This is the earliest you may submit your FAFSA to the Federal Processor. Apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. |
| Mar 15 | Priority Deadline for completing the FAFSA. You may use estimated tax figures to meet this deadline. |
| Mar 2 | Deadline to apply for Cal Grant (see Federal/State sources of assistance) by submitting the FAFSA and GPA Verification Forms (California residents only) if applicable. |
| Apr 1 | Last day to submit a loan application to be processed for the Spring semester. |
| Apr 15 | Complete all the initiated items in your "To Do List" by the priority deadline of April 15. Review your "To Do List" often because additional items may be requested as verification is completed. |
| May 1 | Summer School enrollment deadline to qualify for University grant percentage. Summer Estimator |
| July 1 | Priority deadline to submit your loan application in order to have your funds available by the start of the Fall semester. All items must be complete in your "To Do List" in order for funds to disburse. |
| Oct 15 | Priority deadline to complete your Financial Assistance file if you are applying to begin in the Spring (January) semester. |
| Dec 1 | Last day to submit a completed loan application to be processed for the Fall semester. |
| Dec 15 | Priority deadline to submit your loan application for Spring Admits in order to have your funds available by the start of the Spring semester. All items must be complete in your "To Do List" in order for funds to disburse. |
