Favorite Spot on Campus
It’s a bit of a trek, but I love Heroes Garden up at the top of campus. The views are stunning, and it’s a peaceful place to sit and think.
Tips For Applying
Top 3 recommendations for applying
- Do your research. Explore our website, read the School of Nursing mission statement and values, learn more about all Pepperdine has to offer.
- Start early! Be prepared and organized so that you aren’t scrambling at the last minute and so you can make sure what you are submitting is a true representation of who you are.
- Come visit! Walking through campus really helps to picture yourself as a Pepperdine nursing student. If you aren’t able to come in person, check out the videos we have online.
Advice for essays and supplemental question
We want to get to know you through your writing! I know it can be hard to give a full picture in the amount of space you are given, so do lots of brainstorming and drafts as you figure out how to best do that. Make sure to read the prompt multiple times while you are writing to make sure you are answering the question and staying on track. Reflect on how you have embodied Pepperdine’s School of Nursing values and how you see yourself continuing to grow in those areas and contribute to your community.
Other general advice
Reach out and ask questions! It can be such an overwhelming experience, but I am here to help you navigate it. Being a nurse is a lot of work, and the work starts in applying, but you can do this!
Working in the Office of Admission
My favorite aspect about working in the Office of Admission
I love getting to be part of a team that supports students as they pursue their growth in higher education. I am truly encouraged and inspired by every student’s story!
What I enjoy most about working with nursing students
I remember my own journey into nursing school and consider it such a privilege to walk alongside and support students as they dream and apply and navigate the process of becoming a nurse.
