Physics Program Learning Outcomes
A student who graduates with a major in Physics should be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of the theoretical underpinnings of physics by solving problems
in classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
- Recognize the role of observation and experimentation in science by utilizing basic
laboratory techniques and data analysis to study physical phenomena.
- Communicate experimental results, theoretical solutions, and general knowledge of
physics in both written and oral forms.
- Foster a culture of science and interest in physics within the greater community by
having participated in co-curricular outreach or research activities.
