Stewart O’Rourke

Stewart O'RourkeScene Shop Foreman, Set Design, Adjunct Professor of Theatre

He has had a long career with the Center for the Arts, beginning as a back and front of house student worker from 1985 to 1991. From 1991 to 1998, he worked as support staff for the Weisman Museum, and from 2000 to 2003, he served as Master Carpenter. Since 2003, he has held the position of Scene Shop Foreman, overseeing the construction and installation of Fine Arts productions. 

With a BA in directing from Pepperdine and a post-graduate degree in acting from Mountview Conservatory in London, he has a diverse background in the arts. He has worked as an art installer for museums and private collectors in Southern California, was a stage hand at the Los Angeles Theatre Center, and co-directed Pepperdine's Edinburgh Program from 2000 to 2006, directing four productions for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
