Natural Science Chair Karen Martin and Student Researchers Highlighted in Hakai Magazine


For 20 years Karen Martin, the Frank R. Seaver Chair of Natural Science and Professor of Biology, has studied the famously elusive California grunion, a small, sardine-sized fish found along the southern coast of California and parts of northern Baja California.

Hakai Magazine, a Canadian coastal science publication, recently highlighted Professor Martin and student researchers Olivia Le Sage and Danilo Martinez and took a closer look at the silvery seaside creatures and their struggle to survive along busy shorelines.
