Three Seaver College Professors Recognized with Howard A. White Award for Teaching Excellence

Three Seaver College faculty members— professor of teaching of religion John D. Barton, professor of religion Chris Doran, and assistant professor of public relations Klive (Soo Kwang) Oh—were named as honorees of the 2021 Howard A. White Award. The honorees were announced and celebrated at the annual Pepperdine Honors event on November 3, 2021.

The Howard A. White annual award honors the legacy of Pepperdine University's fifth president and gifted teacher and scholar, Dr. Howard A. White, and marks the highest distinction given at Pepperdine for teaching. It recognizes outstanding educators who embody Pepperdine's commitment to excellence and also highlights the work of teachers who inspire and challenge students to think critically and creatively. This year, a total of eight Pepperdine faculty members across all five schools were honored with the award.
