Seaver College Announces Plans for Fall 2020

In a July 9, 2020 message to the Seaver College community, Dean Michael Feltner shared detailed plans for the reopening of the college and the resumption of classes for the fall 2020 semester. The guidance includes information on instructional formats, international programs, tuition and fees, and more.

"For the fall semester, Seaver College will reopen its campus while providing students flexibility in how they engage the curriculum and participate in learning regardless of their residential location," Feltner stated.

Informed by public health experts to keep the community safe and healthy, the fall 2020 plans allow for students and faculty to choose which learning and instruction modality they prefer. Courses will be offered in a range of methods including in-person classes with physical distancing and face covering precautions, hybrid courses with both online and in-person class meetings, and fully online courses. The statement also included updates for international programs, guidance for international students, details relating to housing, and more.

"Without question, the fall semester will be different than previous semesters,” Feltner shared in the closing of his statement. “Regardless of where we reside, let's discover new ways to engage, to study, and to play."
