Juanie Walker and Heet Ghodasara Published in Journal of Social Entrepreneurship

Juanie Walker, associate professor of communication, and Heet Ghodasara, senior in Seaver’s Business Administration Division, published their case study on two social enterprises in India in the Journal of Social Entrepreneurship.

Their article, “Transformational Development and Social Capital: Jaipur Rugs and Gram Vikas on Both Sides of the Threshold,” explores two social enterprises in India—Jaipur Rugs and Gram Vikas—that produce effective social action in their communities by empowering women through practices rooted in their identity and traditional values.

Walker and Ghodasara have developed their interdisciplinary research since Ghodasara’s freshman seminar course in 2016. Ghodasara received the Academic Year Undergraduate Research Initiative Grant in 2017 and 2018.
