Waves Weekend 2024

Friday, October 4 – Sunday, October 6, 2024

About Waves Weekend

Student Activities and Alumni Affairs invites families and alumni to journey to Malibu for a weekend dedicated to celebrating our Pepperdine community. Each year, Pepperdine’s Malibu campus transforms into Madness Village, a fun and festive carnival-like experience, where attendees enjoy rides on the Ferris wheel, carnival games, and food trucks. Weekend highlights also include:

  • Blue & Orange Madness to jump-start the Waves basketball season
  • the Family and Alumni Picnic
  • nostalgic class reunion celebrations
  • a reception at Brock House, the home of president Jim Gash and first lady Joline Gash
  • the Mountain at Mullin Park display for the future home of Pepperdine campus recreation, health, and wellness
  • a morning mountain hike to the Cross
  • the Adamson House historic estate tour
  • University Church of Christ and Waves Church worship services

Waves Weekend provides the entire Pepperdine and Waves community with a weekend that is both action-packed and full of tradition. Families of current students reunite with their students while they meet with faculty, staff, fellow parents, alumni, and their student’s new friends. Alumni enjoy the opportunity to come together to reminisce and reconnect with each other and their growing families. Last year, the event hosted a record number of alumni, as more than 500 former students came back to celebrate special events and milestones.

We invite all of the Waves family to return again for Waves Weekend 2024!
