Shannon Celia

I paint the gritty with the pretty to encourage community compassion and involvement. Every place and everyone this side of heaven encompasses both light and dark so through my lens, I aim for the light, no matter the subject. My time at Pepperdine was so informative in my foundation as a professional artist. I am grateful for the experience and encouragement I received as a student and continue to receive as an alumna. As founder of the Pepperdine Alumni Art Showcase, I continue meeting artists of all ages who either grew their artistic wings on campus or discovered them later on and we enjoy sharing images and stories about the universal language of art.
