Biography

I am a scholar of feminist political thought, peace and conflict studies, and global development, with a particular focus on the region of South Asia. My work has been published in Hypatia, the International Feminist Journal of Politics, the Routledge Handbook of Development Ethics, and elsewhere. I am working on a book manuscript called Critical Feminist Justpeace, in which I suggest a theory of change for gender-conscious, local-level peacebuilding, grounded in the peacebuilding practices of women in Manipur, India.

Before coming to Pepperdine, I taught at Calvin University for three years. I earned my PhD in Political Science and Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame, and I attended Harding University for my undergraduate degree.
