Biography
Dr. Elise Askelsen is an assistant professor of mathematics at Pepperdine University. She earned her PhD in mathematics from the University of Iowa in 2025. Whether through her research or in the classroom, Dr. Askelsen is passionate about clearly communicating mathematics and inviting others to discover the beauty and order found in it. She does this through her research in representation theory by classifying certain Hopf algebras and their actions, specifically those on path algebras of quivers.
