A First Noel: 2020 Virtual Christmas Carols
During a time of adversity and struggle, 38 members of the Pepperdine Chamber Choir,
worked hard to give the gift of singing so that they might bring hope and peace during
the Christmas season of 2020. This virtual album of traditional carols represents
some of the most loved and adored of ages past. These students recorded and submitted
their vocal parts in complete isolation from each other, using only a template track
featuring the conductor, our wonderful pianist, and one-on-a-part vocals, which were
later mixed and mastered using Logic Pro software. This album is a lovely testament
to hard work, resiliency, and perseverance. The end result is a stunning tribute to
their artistry during the coronavirus pandemic.
