The Heidelberg Summer Music Program is an intensive performance-focused study abroad opportunity for Pepperdine music students. Nestled in the heart of the romantic Heidelberg, Germany, students live and study in Pepperdine’s exclusive facilities. Mornings are spent taking Seaver Core classes, while evenings feature rehearsals and lessons with Pepperdine’s esteemed faculty, as well as local musicians from the Heidelberg Opera and Orchestra. For over 30 years, the Heidelberg Summer Music Program has focused on practical career skills and personal development. Numerous alumni have gone on to have careers performing in Europe, including three alumni who have joined the ensemble of the Heidelberg Opera. Whether a gifted instrumentalist, aspiring opera singer, or triple-threat musical theatre performer, the Heidelberg Summer Music Program is a transformational experience for all of the students who attend.
