In the catalog, you will find the course requirements for every major or minor and descriptions of each course Seaver College offers. You can also use the catalog to confirm calendar deadlines, verify academic policies, and locate other general education information. When referring to the catalog, ensure you are selecting the year in which you matriculated (began) at Seaver!
The Seaver Core is Seaver College’s general education program. As a liberal arts college, Seaver believes in preparing students for leadership in an interconnected, innovative, and competitive world by offering options for various paths of study in key fields of knowledge.
The Fall 2026 Seaver College registration period began on Tuesday, March 10. Students were required to register in at least one course by Thursday, March 19 at 5:00 PM. All unregistered students were assigned Enrollment Management Holds that require OneStop or Academic Advising removal prior to registration.
Once a student is registered for a term, they may add or drop courses through the end of that term’s add/drop period (the first week of classes).
Students should check their Student Center in WaveNet for up-to-do-date information about registration times and holds that may prevent registration.
For a successful registration experience, please follow the steps below or watch the following tutorial video.
1. Review Your Degree Audit Report (DAR)
Access your DAR through the Student Services area of WaveNet by clicking on the "Degree Audit" link.
Click here for an online guide that explains how to read your Degree Audit Report.
2. Clear All Registration Holds
DO NOT WAIT! Prior to registration, visit the Student Services area of WaveNet to see if you have any registration holds.
Resolve any holds that appear prior to your registration time by contacting the department that placed the hold.
Students with fewer than 60 units completed will have an “Advising Hold” placed on their account. That hold must be removed by either a faculty or academic advisor. Students enrolled in a First-Year Seminar may be cleared by their seminar professor.
3. Build a Course Schedule and Choose Alternate Course Options
Review the Schedule of Classes in WaveNet by toggling to the intended semester, clicking “Search for Classes,” and filling in the necessary information for the class you wish to take.
Once you find a desired course, add it to your “Shopping Cart.” When your registration appointment begins, you will be able to easily enroll in or drop the courses in your Shopping Cart.
During registration, our Academic Advising and OneStop teams are available for walk-in appointments to assist with any enrollment questions.
For closed classes, please contact OneStop for up-to-date wait list information or reach out to the division.
4. Before modifying your schedule, keep in mind:
Dropping below 12 units or registering in more than 18 units will affect your tuition charges and financial aid.
Withdrawing from all courses for the semester results in a $150 withdrawal fee.
Dropping a course without evaluating the availability of the other intended course could result in you being stranded without either. Be sure to check that your desired class is open before you drop one in which you are already enrolled.
All matriculated Seaver students must receive official approval from Seaver Academic Advising before enrolling in and completing transfer course work at an outside institution. To begin the review process, fill out and submit the Transfer/Substitution of Units form, along with a description and syllabus of the intended course. Prior to submitting the Transfer of Units form, please ensure you read through all requirements listed at the top of the form. Any student situation or transfer course that falls outside of those requirements will not be approved for transfer.
