Nutritional Science Major
The nutritional science degree program at Seaver College is designed to train students for graduate and professional schools, as well as for careers in health science and dietetics.
Nutritional Science Degree
Our nutritional science program is approved as a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of
the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and prepares students for supervised
practice programs (also known as Dietetic Internships), and Individual Supervised
Practice Pathways (ISPP).
Post-Baccalaureate Nutritional Science Certificate Program
The registration process for all dietitians requires participation in a program that provides supervised internship hours and is recognized by the Accreditation Council for the Education in Nutrition and Dietetics of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The Pepperdine NSCP-ISPP program is a post-baccalaureate program designed to meet those requirements (for those who have already completed their DPD programs).
