Biography

Dr. Komal Shah Kapoor, known to her students as Dr. K, is an educator and entrepreneur with a passion for bridging the gap between industry and academia. With over a decade of corporate experience in New York City, she transitioned to Los Angeles to pursue her vision of creating impactful partnerships that enrich student learning. Dr. Kapoor teaches applied communication courses at Pepperdine University and is the founder of SpeakerPost.com, a platform that connects educators with industry experts. Her initiatives, including Public Speaking LA and the SpeakerWeb, are designed to prepare students for successful careers. Dr. Kapoor holds an interdisciplinary PhD in Speech Communication, Marketing, and Anthropology from Wayne State University and is deeply committed to fostering meaningful connections and empowering the next generation of leaders.
