Wesley Guimarães

Biography

Wesley Guimarães is an award-winning stage actor, writer, director, and educator from Brazil. Selected Los Angeles acting credits include Noise Within's Richard III (as "Richmond" and "Second Murderer"), Bacon at Rogue Machine (as "Mark"), and the Fountain Theatre's U.S. premiere of I, Daniel Blake (as "China"). Other regional theatre credits include tiny father (u/s as "Daniel") at the Geffen Playhouse, Romeo & Juliet (as “Romeo”) at Lanes Coven Theater Co.; Clyde’s (as “Rafael,” Bay Area Theater Critics Award-nominated) at Berkeley Repertory Theater, co-produced with the Huntington Theater and directed by Taylor Reynolds; and In Love & Warcraft and The Pliant Girls (as “Marcus”) at the American Conservatory Theater. He is a member of the Public Mischief Collective and has been a writer for theatre and film since 2020, with work featured in festivals in the US, Brazil, and Italy. Wesley has served as adjunct faculty at Fullerton College and collaborates with the American Conservatory Theatre as a core instructor of acting in their summer conservatory training programs. He holds an MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theatre, a B.A. (cum laude) in Theater & Dance from Amherst College, and is an alumnus of UWC Adriatic in Italy and LAMDA in the UK. He is a proud member of the Actors' Equity Association.
