Transfer Information

Articulation Agreements

Seaver College partners with ASSIST to establish articulation agreements with California’s community colleges.

For all other schools, transfer equivalency is not guaranteed. However, students can utilize our course catalog, with its course descriptions, to find similar classes at other schools. Seaver does not grant credit for major coursework without consultation of academic divisions. Additionally, credit for our Religion sequence (REL 100, 200, 300) cannot be covered by transfer coursework.

Some encouraged (NOT guaranteed) courses at non-California colleges:

  1. Speech and Rhetoric
  2. English Composition
  3. General Sociology, Psychology, or Economics
  4. American People and Politics
  5. Elementary Language (Level I) in Spanish, French, Italian, German, Chinese, or Japanese
  6. Music, Theatre, Art or Art History (at least 3 units)
  7. Ethnic Studies

Submitting Coursework

Pre-matriculated or pre-enrolled transcripts should be submitted to Undergraduate Admissions during the Application process. Please refer to the “Application Requirements” on the “Transfer Application” page for Seaver Undergraduate Admission.

Prior to self-registration, our transfer advisor will work with academic divisions to review all transfer coursework for major-specific credit. If you notice transfer credit missing from your Degree Audit report prior to self-registration, please contact seaveracademicadvising@pepperdine.edu as soon as possible. It is important that we have the most up to date transcripts to ensure accurate enrollment for your first term.

For post-matriculated or enrolled students, please refer to our Academic Advising Resources page, where you will find directions on how to request approval for potential transfer courses and submit all completed coursework.
