Graduate Scholarship Opportunities
Ishiguro / Westside Japan Endowed Scholarship
In 2002, the Japanese Westside Church of Christ sold their building and the congregation donated more than half a million dollars to setup the Ishiguro Westside Japan Endowed Scholarship. Every year, scholarship recipients and former Westside congregation members get together for a lunch in Los Angeles.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Church of Christ graduate students with an intent to preach.
- Graduate students with Japanese descent or preparing to preach or do missionary work in Japan are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Graduate students must apply via Application for Graduate Scholarship Form to be considered for funding. Forms are distributed annually to all qualifying students by the Religion and Philosophy Division Office Manager.
J.P. Sanders Ministerial Endowed Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria:
- Member of the Church of Christ studying to be a minister.
- Graduate students must apply via Application for Graduate Scholarship Form to be considered for funding. Forms are distributed annually to all qualifying students by the Religion and Philosophy Division Office Manager.
J.P. Sanders Endowed Scholarship Fund II
Eligibility Criteria:
- Member of the Church of Christ studying to be a minister.
- Graduate students must apply via Application for Graduate Scholarship Form to be considered for funding. Forms are distributed annually to all qualifying students by the Religion and Philosophy Division Office Manager
J.P. Sanders Endowed Scholarship-Matching
Eligibility Criteria:
- Member of the Church of Christ studying to be a minister.

Amy E. Bost Henegar Endowed Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria:
- For female Church of Christ students pursuing a MA in Religion or a MDIV at Seaver College.
- Graduate students must apply via Application for Graduate Scholarship Form to be considered for funding. Forms are distributed annually to all qualifying students by the Religion and Philosophy Division Office Manager.
