Maire Mullins Receives Ninth Annual Pepperdine University Excellence in Leadership Award


Maire Mullins teaching studentsOn February 18, 2022, the Committee on Women Faculty at Seaver College announced Maire Mullins, professor of English and Blanche E. Seaver Chair of English Literature, as the recipient of the ninth annual Pepperdine University Excellence in Leadership Award.

In their decision to select Mullins as the recipient, the committee cited her role as a “trailblazer” in seeking equity and opportunity for women at Pepperdine, her time as division chair of the Humanities and Teacher Education Division and as president of the Seaver Faculty Association, her work in leadership roles beyond Pepperdine, and her significant contributions to her research field.

The Committee on Women Faculty at Seaver College and guests will honor Mullins as the recipient of this award at the annual Women in Leadership Banquet held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 5:15 PM at the Villa Graziadio. To attend, please RSVP here by Wednesday, March 2.
