Biography

Professor Paula Orr earned her MFA in creative writing from Antioch University Los Angeles (AULA) and her BA in English Literature from the University of Kentucky. Additionally, she holds a Post MFA Certificate in the Teaching of Creative Writing Program at AULA. As an instructor, she has taught English Composition, Critical Analysis and Intermediate Composition, Advanced Writing, Journalism, Creative Writing, and The Art of Poetry. A memoirist and television writer with Appalachian roots, she writes about family and the intersection of cultures in America. She currently has a dramatic television series in development with Roadside Attractions and is working on her second memoir. Professor Orr lives in leafy Glendale with her husband and son.
