Biography
Camryn Wallace earned her BA in chemistry from the University of San Diego and her PhD in chemistry from the University of California, Irvine. Her research focuses on developing new catalytic methods for the synthesis of nitrogen-containing heterocycles, an important class of molecules commonly found in pharmaceuticals. She is particularly interested in using transition-metal catalysis to control reaction selectivity and better understand how these reactions occur. At Pepperdine, Camryn teaches organic chemistry and is developing a research program in synthetic organic chemistry and catalysis.
