Seaver and George Pepperdine College Alumni

Community Service

Student Group

"Freely ye have received, freely give." Service has always been a major component of life at Pepperdine. We hope that as alumni, you will consider serving your community as you did while a student.  There are many Waves to serve, either on your own or alongside other Waves.

Alumni Project Serve 2012
– Calling all Waves! Why just go on a vacation when you can travel with purpose? Add significance to your next travel adventure by joining the Alumni Project Serve team.  On February 26-March 1, 2012, we will be gathering alumni and families from all over the country to help with the home rebuilding efforts in New Orleans through Project Homecoming, a community restoration organization supported by the Presbytery of South Louisiana.  Have some fun alongside fellow alumni making a real difference for families in need while also experiencing the rich culture found only in New Orleans!  For more information and to register, click here.

At the same time that our alumni volunteers are in New Orleans, several groups of Seaver College students will be in domestic and international sites around the world to serve in a variety of impactful ways through their Project Serve program.  If you are a Seaver College or George Pepperdine College (GPC) alumnus living near one of these project sites, a fantastic way to get involved is to host one of the student service teams for dinner in your home or at a local restaurant.  To learn more or to sign up, please contact Matt Ebeling at matt.ebeling@pepperdine.edu or (310) 506-4348.

Step Forward Day – Participate in Step Forward Day events throughout the country and serve your community on the same day the University serves the Los Angeles community.
