Welcome

The Social Science Division pursues inquiry about humans and their social relations and institutions. Explore some of our majors and minors in the fields of Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work, and Sociology. See a complete list of our academic programs.

Our faculty strive to balance their academic pursuits with caring for students. In addition to being on campus for research and teaching, many of the professors actually live on campus and regularly host students for meals and other social gatherings outside of the classroom. Meet our division faculty and staff.

There are several clubs and professional organizations Pepperdine students are welcome to join, including: California College Republicans, Young Democrats, Delta Phi Epsilon (National Professional Foreign Service Fraternity), Pre-Law Society, Psi Chi (Honorary Psychology Society), Economics Club, and Psychology Club. Learn more about these and other opportunities.

The Social Science Division also has a small scholarship fund students may apply for. Request an application or more information.

Please feel free to contact our office if you have any questions or would like more information. Schedule a campus tour or classroom visit, or If you're ready to apply, request an admission packet.
