Regional Information Sessions and Admission Receptions
Seaver Parents Council members help support Pepperdine's Office of Admission as they host annual admission sessions in cities across America. The Office of Admission depends on current parents and alumni to spread the word about their own experiences at Pepperdine and give prospective students and parents a bit of insight into the University. Our Seaver parent volunteers from the Outreach Committee do a wonderful job welcoming and introducing the prospective students and their families in their area into the Pepperdine family. We welcome our amazing parent to play such an important role in these sessions.

Seaver Parents Council Outreach Events
Several outreach events take place each year including afternoon teas held for moms and families of Pepperdine students and alumna of Seaver College. These events are the perfect way for families to share about the Pepperdine experience, and get to know others from their area. If you would like to organize a special event in your hometown, please contact Kim and Christine in the Seaver Parents Program at (310) 506-6334 or christine.galvin@pepperdine.edu.
In addition, Seaver College parents are always welcome at any alumni events taking place throughout the nation. Visit the alumni news and events page to see the latest.

Summer Send-off Parties
The Seaver Parents Program is looking for current parents, alumni, and friends to host summer send-off parties in 2019! Many of you probably remember the feeling of sending your son or daughter off to Pepperdine for their freshman year of college--it can be nerve-wracking, stressful and emotional for many families. Through the summer send-off parties, we strive to alleviate some of these feelings by gathering students together prior to their departure from Pepperdine. We have found that it helps to know a few familiar faces from a student's own hometown before coming to college in August. If you would like to host an event in your hometown, please contact Christine in the Seaver Parents Program at (310) 506-6334 or Christine.Galvin@pepperdine.edu.

SWAPP - Sealed with a Parents Prayer - Prayer Walk
The Parents Program team hosts a Prayer Walk during NSO to cover the campus in prayer. We meet up again during Waves Weekend in the residence halls. We call it SWAPP Day. SWAPP stands for, "Sealed with a Parent's Prayer." Join us as we gather together monthly to pray for specific needs of our students, faculty, staff, and families September through April on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at Pepperdine Parents in Prayer. If you can not attend, we will be happy to send you our prayer points to pray from afar!
Additional Opportunities
For those of you further afield, we invite you to gather in groups off campus according to your location. Please prayerfully consider hosting a regional prayer site in your home. We know this is a wonderful opportunity for Seaver College parents to enjoy one another's fellowship.
Whether you pray on your own, in a group with other parents, or with us on campus, your presence is wanted and encouraged. We know you will be blessed by the time you invest in our parents day of prayer.
Father of Love, help these young adults grow in gratitude to you. Help them to find you in their busy lives. Help us to affirm them and support them with love, that they might recognize authentic faith and love, and turn to you in their time of need.
