Pepperdine Volunteer Center
Welcome and congratulations (again)! We are excited about the ways in which you will impact not only the Pepperdine community but also LA and the world.
Who We Are
The Pepperdine Volunteer Center (PVC) is a place where students, staff, and faculty members live out the Pepperdine pledge that "knowledge calls ultimately for a life of service." We do this by developing and supporting student leaders who engage their peers in meaningful service and build strong partnerships with our community.
Get involved in the Pepperdine mission
Pepperdine develops students for lives of purpose, service, and leadership. On this journey, we hope that you will get involved in our many volunteer programs and events. Service opportunities such as feeding the homeless, tutoring students, building a home with Habitat for Humanity, and working with senior citizens are only a few of the many opportunities to help make your Pepperdine experience more meaningful.
Some of our big programs include:
- Step Forward Day, September 9, 2017 - This is a Pepperdine tradition that we hope you will be able to join as a part of the Pepperdine family.
- Jumpstart - Apply to work in a job where you can make an impact in local preschools through the year. Applications are accepted in September and April.
- Project Serve - Spend your spring break doing something better around the U.S. or abroad. Each year, graduating seniors consistently say that Project Serve was the highlight of their Pepperdine career. Apply in October. Some trips will be available for new students beginning in January.
When you get to campus, please come by the PVC to find out all of the ways you can serve the community this year. Let the community change you.
