Fine Arts 2018-2019 Auditions

Welcome to our Live Audition Registration Page! Thank you for your interest in auditioning/interviewing for a Fine Arts Division program at Pepperdine University.

 

Registration opens on September 1, 2018.  

Auditions, in addition to completing the SlideRoom Application are required for all prospective music majors, music minors, non-music majors who wish to perform in an ensemble or to receive scholarship, and theatre majors. These live auditions are assessed by members of the faculty.

Audition, Interview, and Portfolio Review Dates: 2018-2019

      • NOTE: Art Portfolio Reviews are not required of Art applicants; however, it is strongly encouraged for students interested in studying Art at Pepperdine.

Prospective students may only register for one type of audition. Decide which program you want to audition for early and stick with it. Failure to comply to this rule will result in your audition being canceled. 

Audition Day

Registration will close two weeks prior to each Audition Day at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Auditions that are not confirmed either via email or phone within 48 hours prior to the Audition Day will be canceled.

All Music and Theatre-Music prospective students will be required to complete the Music Fundamentals & Skills Assessment while they are on campus for their live audition. 

An accompanist will be provided for Theatre-Music and Vocal auditions. Students must bring their own sheet music. 

Theatre (Acting, Directing, or Media Production) students who wish to sing during their audition must bring their own accompaniment track on a CD or her/his phone; an accompanist will not be provided. We will have both a CD player and Bluetooth speaker available for students to use. 

As you plan your visit, it is strongly encouraged that students allot the entire day for the audition, the Music Fundamentals & Skills Assessment (if applicable), and for other events scheduled for the Audition Day. 

We offer the option for prospective students to have lunch with our Music faculty on each Audition Day. Students may dine at no cost while guests of the student may join for $10.00 each (cash or check only).
