Senior Art Exhibit 2008 - Emily Rath

I love to be enveloped by the colors and textures of paint. My canvases become my journal for my thoughts and emotions as I brush, scrape, throw, and slather the paint into an array of colors that is magnetic to me. My paintings are built from scratch and are meant to ignite emotion, create wonder, and express sensuality in a beautiful, free, and spontaneous way. It was my wish to create an intimate interaction of colors to emphasize the ever-changing connection and balance between masculine and feminine. Just like my paintings, we are all colorful human beings that should bring our full potential of sensuality, vitality, and passion to the world.
