Senior Art Exhibit 2005: Peter Harabedian

Our lives are shaped by influence. The most powerful forms are those that are subtle in nature. Musicians, poets, and visual artists capture our attention and penetrate the subconscious. We as consumers rarely sense the influence until it has become a part of us. The individuals whose portraits I chose to paint leave a lasting impression on society as a whole. Through the use of lyrics, imagery, and color they mold our views on the world to conform to their own. See now the subtle changes of tone as you peer longer into their faces. See them as people like the rest of us. Through their portraits, view them as subtly as when you are influenced by their work.
