Art is Homeless
I am fascinated by the nomads of our culture, in particular, those who are houseless. Their home is the present moment, a reflexive relatedness with civilization in its most fundamental reality. From the man in Berkeley who plays drums on trash cans to the chalk artist in Venice whose canvas is the sidewalk… Many of us pass them by so blinded by our judgment and conditioning, we do not remember we are woven from the same fabric. This collection of portraits are windows into the spirit of these modern day nomads, each piece a crystallization of their gift to us.
