HAPPY BIRTHDAY! FROM THE CENTER FOR HUMAN RESOURCES |
|||||
On the occasion of your birthday, we celebrate you and seek to assist our neighbors on your behalf during difficult times. |
|
||||
In honor of your upcoming birthday, the Center for Human Resources has made a prudent gift to the Geoffrey H. Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law at the Caruso School of Law to support their micro-finance program in conjunction with Union Rescue Mission. | |||||
Law students and other
volunteers help train and coach homeless individuals as they create
business plans and transition to independent living. Upon successful
completion of rigorous training and screening, graduates of the
program may receive a small loan made possible through local
citizens to start their business ventures. For more information or ways in which you may become involved in this worthwhile program, please follow the link below: |

Birthdays
need to be celebrated. I think it is more important to celebrate a
birthday than a successful exam, a promotion, or a victory. Because
to celebrate a birthday means to say to someone: Thank you for
being you. Celebrating a birthday reminds us of the goodness of
life, and in this spirit we really need to celebrate peoples
birthdays every day, by showing gratitude, kindness, forgiveness,
gentleness and affection. These are ways of saying: Its good that
you are alive; its good that you are walking with me on this earth.
Lets be glad and rejoice. This is the day that God has made for us
to be and to be together. - Henri Nouwen, Here and Now |
