Students who are members of a congregation traditionally associated with the Churches of Christ described above can apply to be considered for church-related scholarships. In order to be considered for the Christian Leadership Award, Church of Christ applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from a church leader (minister, elder, youth minister, etc.) of the Church of Christ congregation of which they are a member.
We prefer that recommendations be submitted online using the below link. However, if you are unable to use our forms, written recommendations or traditional letters can be mailed to the Office of Admission at the address below. Please make sure that your recommender identifies the letter as a Church of Christ recommendation and includes your first name, last name, current school, city, and state. Include your Common Application ID on all documents you submit. This will assist in the accurate and timely processing of your application file.

Pepperdine Legacy Partners (PLP) was established in 1958 and is the largest, most active women's group supporting colleges and universities in Southern California. For over 50 years members have been primary contributors to scholarships for Christian students and have forged a strong link between the University and the Churches of Christ across the country. PLP desires to strengthen churches by financially supporting Christian students at Pepperdine University in their education and spiritual walk. Pepperdine Legacy Partners (PLP) awards a number of $5,000 Helen Young Scholarships annually on a renewable basis to active members from the Churches of Christ. Recipients will be expected to maintain at least a 2.5 GPA, help with PLP events during the year, maintain an active presence in a local Church of Christ, and be involved with campus ministry while attending Pepperdine University. Male and female students are both eligible.
To be considered for the Helen Young Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
The PLP Scholarship Committee will select all Helen Young Scholarship recipients at the same time. Both Early Action and Regular Decision applicants will be notified if they have received the scholarship by April 1.
