Dr. Os Guinness is a leading Evangelical apologist and Senior Fellow at the Trinity Forum in McLean, VA. Born in China where his parents were medical missionaries, he remained there until 1951 when forced to leave by the communist regime. Educated in England, he did undergraduate studies at the University of London, and postgraduate studies at University of Oxford where he graduated with a D.Phil in the social sciences from Oriel College. Since 1984, he has lived in the Washington, D.C. area, where he was a Guest Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Studies and at the Brookings Institution. From 1986-89 Dr. Guinness was the Executive Director of the Williamsburg Charter Foundation and one of the drafters of the Williamsburg Charter. As an author and lecturer, he has written or edited more than 20 books with his latest appearing this year titled Unspeakable: Facing Up to Evil in an Age of Genocide and Terror (Harper/San Francisco, 2005). Dr. Guinness' lecture is sponsored by the Seaver Board of Visitors and Seaver Parents Council and hosted by members of Omicron Delta Kappa, the Economics honor society.
