Washington D.C. Internship Program

Wednesday Briefings

The Wednesday afternoon briefing is a weekly non-credit bearing program whereby all interns are hosted by a public or a non-governmental agency to acquaint themselves with the mission and workings of that agency.  Typical hosts include the White House, the various departments of the Executive Branch, the US Congress, foreign embassies and diplomatic missions, think tanks, special interest groups and lobbies, and various media outlets.

In addition to acquainting students with the modus operandi of diverse agencies and institutions, the Wednesday Briefings gives the interns a rare opportunity to meet prominent public officials, scholars, activists, journalists and diplomats.
