Summer College students live in Rockwell Towers and will have a roommate who is also a Summer College student. Resident Advisors live in the residence with the students and work to create a supportive environment. Adult staff members of Pepperdine's Housing and Community Living office also live on campus and are available to Summer College students. Room and board are included in the program fee paid by admitted students.

Activities

Students are encouraged to attend activities planned for our undergraduate students by the Student Activities office and the Student Government Association. Typical activities are, hiking in the Santa Monica mountains, ocean kayaking, aerobics classes, intramural sports, outdoor BBQ, ice cream social, game nights, Coffee House, and excursions to 3rd street Promenade in Santa Monica.

Additionally, field trips are planned specifically for Summer College students.   Possible field trips include, J. Paul Getty Museum, the Museum of Tolerance, Santa Monica Pier or Six Flags Magic Mountain.

In support of Pepperdine's long tradition of service and volunteerism, students will participate in one service project. Possible service sites include Food Share, Share our Strength, and Heal the Bay.

The Malibu campus also has several facilities that are a place for student recreation. In the residence area there are sand volleyball pits and BBQ grills. Students may also use other facilities such as Olympic size swimming pool, tennis courts, weight room and other facilities.

The student lounge, named the Sandbar is equipped with a cyber cafe, big screen TV, dance floor, mailboxes and juice bar. It's a great place to check e-mail, do internet research, meet friends, watch a movie or just hang out.

Howard A. White Center (HAWC)

HAWC - where NO ONE ever SITS!!!

The Howard A. White Center is a 24-hour student facility located in the heart of the residential community. The HAWC gives Pepperdine students a place to work and play. Its features include:

24 Hour Computer Lab
Billiards, Table Tennis & Foosball
Big-screen T.V.
Seattle's Best Coffee Shop
Events & programs

Campus Map

Health Center

The Health Center on campus is available to all students for any routine medical needs. The Health Center includes Board Certified Physicians, assistants, as well as registered nurses that are on call 24 hours a day. Any non-routine needs or emergencies can be handled by nearby facilities such as the St. John's Urgent Care in Malibu and the Santa Monica/UCLA Medical Center.

Code of Conduct

Summer College students are expected to meet the standards of conduct and ethics expected of Seaver undergraduate students. Please review the Student Handbook paying particular attention to the Code of Conduct and the Seaver Policies and Procedures,
